The Motor City Haunt Club
The Motor City Haunt Club started in 2002 with only 4 members. The founding members included Matt Mio, his father, and two friends. As of August 2005, Matt Mio sends e-mails to more than 100 people. The Motor City Haunt Club meets monthly with upwards of 30 members attending these meetings. Matt estimates that there is a core membership of 20 active members and about the same number of "floaters". These members bring a wide variety of skills and interests at all "haunt-levels". The club has an excellent mix of both the low-budget home and professional haunters. Each and every member brings something positive to the table in this arrangement. Currently there are no dues and the club sells kits and such for profit to maintain public relations.
