If you have not built any homemade Halloween props then this is a great place to start.  Each section of fence will be 6 feet wide and 4 feet high.  This allows you store it fairly easily and in a small space.

I would recommend that you determine where you want to install the fence and then measure out the linear length.  Remember, you are working in 6 foot lengths.

The vertical bars of the cemetery fence are constructed out of 1/2" schedule 40 PVC pipe.  The horizontal bars are constructed out of 1 inch by 2 inch by 8 foot furring strip.  You will use black dry wall screws to fasten the furring strip to the PVC bars.  The PVC pipe is white so you will also need to purchase several cans of FLAT black spray paint.  All of these items can be found in most home improvement stores such as Home Depot and Lowes.

The tools you will need include the following:

Saw - to cut furring strip and PVC pipe to proper lengths.

Drill - to drill holes in furring strip for PVC pipe to slide through and drywall screws.  Hand drill will work but a small drill press would work better.

7/8 inch spade drill bit - to make holes in furring strip for pipe.

Regular drill bits - To make hole for Drywall screws.

Screwdriver - to sink the drywall screws through furring strip and into the PVC pipe.

Workbench - to aid in the building of the fence sections.

Spray Paint Can Trigger - I strongly recommend this, your index finger will thank me.

Tape Measure - If you need to ask why, have a friend build the fence for you.

Pencil or Marker - I like using Sharpe Black Permanent Markers with the fine tip.
